I urgently needed an appointment for something that, although very simple, was causing me so much pain that I couldn't work or do anything useful (a UTI, easily fixed with antibiotics). I didn't want to wait for the next day's drop-in session so I tried my luck and the receptionist was so helpful and got me a nurse's appointment that afternoon, then a GP signed my prescription. Thank you so much, brilliant work & in the face of incessant NHS budget cuts.

I have been using the health centre since I started at the university and now, although I I have left, over 25 years later, I remain on their books as I have never wanted to leave. This I feel summarise my feelings for my GP and his staff.

Everyone was helpful and the waiting time just fine. I was, overall, very satisfied with the reception, nurse as well as doctor I met.

Most of the nurses and doctors are lovely, however there's the odd couple who can be unkind. I understand you're all very busy, but dealing with an incredibly personal issue is very difficult, and there are some nurses who appear irritated if I'm struggling to get the words out, or in one case, the urine out for a urine test. I can't pee on demand, and having someone banging on the door telling me to hurry up because there are other patients doesn't help! I was only in there no more than 5 mins, so it was completely unnecessary. Also, I had to wait about 40 minutes for my prescription, which was bordering on the ridiculous! However, the drop in clinic is a great idea and runs smoothly, and I very rarely have trouble seeing someone if I need to.

Its a busy surgery - dealing with lots of students - but they have good systems in place to make sure people are seen as quickly as possible.
